Well where do I start? Oh yeh, rumor around Husky Bootcamp
is that I have
>matured into my “Terrible Two’s”. They say that one day
they will forgive
me for all that I am doing….. but not today! There seems
to be even more
“No’s” and “Leave It’s” than ever. I think they just
make them up as they
go along. Life is grand and the food is great and there
is sooooo much to
get into. It is so fun to push Big Dog’s buttons, although
being the pack
leader he only tolerates so much before the “Stern Look”
comes. Then its
time to back off at bit. But Lady Dog, now that’s a different
matter
. Big Dog says that I am getting Lady Dog to sound more and
more like a sailor
every day. Some of the sounds she makes I have never
heard before and it is
so fun to see what I can get into just to hear the new
ones. Boy, am I
learning a lot. My vocabulary is improving more each
day. “Button Pushing”
is almost as fun as Bike or Roller Blade buddy.
I am now 13 weeks old and growing fast. I weigh 20 pounds
now and I am
getting a bit much for either one of them to hold for
any length of time.
That is just fine with me. All that mushy stuff is a
bit smothering and
besides, there is a better chance of getting into something
that I shouldn’t
when I am on the ground. I stay very busy and I am really
tired at the end
of the day (check out the attached picture of my resting
after a hard day).
This week I have discovered that here in Oregon it rains
very locally. In
fact it just seems to follow me around only. Lady Dog
sits off to the side
with this long green line in her hand and laughs as the
water falls from the
blue sky just on me. I don’t know how they do it. I think
it has something
to do with the long green line she has. She calls it
a hose but I don’t
know what that is. Any way I make the best of the short
local rains by just
playing in it and trying to catch the water (See Pictures
Attached).
They took me into the “back yard” to this great new watering
hole. There is
fresh water every where and boy, some of it really moves.
I had to cross,
they called it forging, some really fast moving water,
at least to me it
seemed fast, to get to the little islands that are there.

Big Dog assured me that it was just a little stream bypass and that it
would be OK for me.
Boy, now this is the place to be. Lots to do. Lots to
see. And lots to get
into. Funnily enough there doesn’t seem to be as many
restrictions here
except that I have to stay out of all the Canadian Geese
Droppings. They
are my country mates and I think that they like it here
too. There are lots
of Salmon, Steelhead and Trout in this fast moving water
and I am desperately trying to think of a way to just get one
if I can.
I am finding that it is beautiful out in my kennel and
I love to be outside.
There are no restrictions when I am there. I don’t have
to remember to stay
off the furniture cause all the furniture there is mine
and I can do what I
like. It is always cool and there is so much to see.
The neighbors still
stop by to say hi and see me from time to time, but I
do like my moments of
solitude. I get my exercise every day and I am really
like being a Bicycle
buddy and a Roller Blade buddy. Life here is just grand
if I can make it
through these “Two’s”. Lady Dog reminds me that she is
a pilot and it is
just a short hop back to Canada if I don’t behave. Yea
Right! That’s like
the preverbal “I’m going to turn this car around and
go straight home”.
Never Happen. There is a place in both their hearts that
would be too empty
>to ever fill again. So I am trying the best I can to
get around these
Hormone issues and behave. They really do cut me some
slack. I sometimes
can’t believe the things I do either!!!
Well, Jo Anna, it is about time for dinner here and Iam beat from all the
fun today. Please don’t let on to them because they thinkit’s “discipline”
I just think it’s all Fun and Games. I will write again
next week with
more of the new adventures here at the “Camp” as I call
it. Rest well and
take care of yourself. My new CD is coming along great
and there are new
things everyday.

All my love to you and The Wild Things,
